Mr. Raymond Lau was the articled clerk to Mr. G. S. Ford who together with Mr. H. L. Kwan founded Messrs. Ford, Kwan & Co in 1945. In 1974, Mr. Lau was admitted as a solicitor of Hong Kong. Subsequently, he was also admitted as a solicitor of England & Wales and of Australian Capital Territory in Australia. He became a partner of Messrs. Ford, Kwan & Co. ("the Firm") in 1975. Under the auspices and proactive leadership of Mr. Lau, the Firm has developed into a dynamic practice which provides a comprehensive and wide range of legal services for its extensive client base.
Mr. Lau is both a China-appointed Attesting Officer and a Notary Public. He specializes in the areas of property law, banking law, commercial law and China-related matters; and has extensive experience in advising banks, financial institutions, China enterprises, local and foreign corporations and major property developers in these areas. He is among the first ones in the legal professional who are actively involved in the provision of legal services to chinese enterprises and China-related clients. Now, he formulates business development strategies of the Firm and oversees various departments of the Firm to ensure that quality legal services are provided to the clients.

Mr. Wong Chun Wai has been appointed as the Chief Executive Business Development (China Practice) by the our firm in 2022. Mr. Wong specialises in leveraging his network of contacts, consolidating resources and assisting the China Appointed Attesting Officer in handling a large volume of China notarial business as an important part of his work. Mr. Wong has also joined the legal profession since 2012 and is an experienced paralegal who is well versed in advising on court practices and procedures, assisting in criminal litigation, particularly in relation to commercial offences, and has considerable experience in legal matters such as inheritance, corporate and commercial matters.
Mr. Wong also has particular expertise in assisting with Mainland China matters, intellectual property protection and corporate compliance investigations. Mr Wong is well versed in Mainland China matters and has built up a strong network of contacts in the PRC through his many years of experience in the Mainland. Mr. Wong played an active role in the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance as a Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the Company major client in the firm.
